For the dough:

2 1/4 cups flour

2 1/4 cups granulated sugar

1 1/2 cups cocoa powder

2 1/4 teaspoons — baking soda

2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder

1 1/2 tsp — salt

1 teaspoon — cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon — pepper

3 — eggs, room temperature

1 1/2 cups applesauce

3/4 Cup — vegetable oil (odorless)

Vanilla extract is 1.5 tablespoon

1 Cup + 2 tablespoons — strong brewed coffee


Salted caramel:

2 cups heavy cream

2 cups — sugar

1 Cup honey (or corn syrup)

1/2 Cup Bourbon + 1/2 Cup Apple juice (or 1 Cup Apple juice or Apple cider)

1/2 Cup butter

Vanilla extract 1 tablespoon

1/2 teaspoon salt + coarse sea.

3 small apples (I used Granny Smith and Honeycrisp)

6 twigs or wooden sticks for decoration


Snickers Frosting:

1 Cup — soft butter,

120 gr cream cheese,

2 cups powdered sugar

1/2 Cup — peanut butter

1/3 Cup — salted caramel (recipe above)

2 teaspoons of extract

1/2 Cup salted peanuts, chopped + more for decorating

230 gr. — bitter chocolate, chopped

1/2 Cup — heavy cream


A glass of 250 ml.



Prepare the cakes:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Lay a baking paper three 20-22cm round baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, allspice and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, applesauce, oil and vanilla until a homogeneous mass.
  4. Slowly add dry ingredients to wet and beat with a mixer at low speed until, until all lumps of flour. Add hot coffee and stir. The dough should be fluid but not too liquid.
  5. Pour the batter into molds and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, check the readiness with a match.

Finished cakes cool completely before covering with icing.


Prepare the frosting and caramel:

  1. Mix sugar, honey, Bourbon and Apple juice in a large saucepan. Bring to boil, boil, without stirring, 9 minutes or until light Golden brown. Add the cream, butter, vanilla, salt, stirring constantly. Cook for 10-15 minutes or until the cooking thermometer shows 100 degrees, stirring constantly! Remove the sauce from heat and add salt(it will balance the sweetness of the caramel). Pour in 1 Cup of the caramel sauce and leave to cool. The remaining sauce set aside until, until the time comes to assemble the cake (I just closed the pot and set it aside for the night).
  2. Now make the frosting: butter, cream cheese and powdered sugar and whisk until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 4 minutes. Add the peanut butter, 1/3 Cup cooled caramel sauce and vanilla, beat until fully connected. Add the chopped peanuts.


To assemble the cake:

  1. Put the first cake layer on cake plate, top, pour it 1/3 of a Cup of caramel(which we postponed in preparation), then apply the top layer walnut glaze, cover the following cake and done the same steps with the following. After we preloli all cakes coat the cake on all sides and top, neither of which is terrible if you couldn’t get the frosting exactly perfect, this has its own charm!;)

Put the cake in the fridge.

  1. And meanwhile, let’s prepare the chocolate frosting. The microwave melt the chocolate with the cream and stir every 30 seconds until the frosting will not become fully homogeneous.

Let it cool for 3-5 minutes and then gently pour it on top of the cooled cake so that it flowed evenly from all sides. Again put the cake in the fridge preferably overnight or at least 1-2 hours. We need to make the chocolate glaze is completely frozen!

  1. While the cake cools will do the remaining caramel. Put it again on fire and bring to a boil. Cook for 15-20 minutes or until the thermometer shows 105 to 110 degrees. Remove the sauce from heat and let cool 15-20 minutes, stirring regularly. As soon as the caramel cools and starts to thicken it is possible to dip the apples(stick them in a pre-prepared branches). You will see what is the consistency of caramel is most suitable for coating apples, it should not drain much from Apple and at the same time be fluid enough to dip her apples. Leave the apples to harden on the baking paper.


  1. Next, pour the warm, still sticky caramel on the cooled cake on top of chocolate. Center have our caramel apples. Sprinkle the top with peanuts and large sea salt.

3 cups flour

1H.l. baking powder

Vanilla or vanilla sugar

How to cook:

The beef separate from the veins and cut. In a saucepan pour olive oil and throw the meat on a slow fire fry under the lid.(do not add salt). After the beef becomes Golden brown, add water that covers the meat and leave to languish on low heat. I have it takes about 30 minutes. Once evaporated the water, add the onion and fry a little. We need:

Bananas – 3 PCs,

Chocolate – 100 g

Vegetable oil – 1 tablespoon,

Nuts – to taste
