Chocolate chip pound cake is a rich and indulgent dessert that combines the buttery, dense texture of a traditional pound cake with the added goodness of chocolate chips. Here’s a basic recipe to make a delicious chocolate chip pound cake:

INGREDIENTS:
- 3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 eggs
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1-1/2 cups (3 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups of sugar
- 1 bag (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
INSTRUCTIONS:
Set the oven to 325 F. Prepare two 9x5x3-inch loaf pans by greasing and flouring them.
Flour and salt should be mixed together in a medium basin. Place aside. Beat the eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla in a small bowl. Place aside.
Using an electric mixer on medium-high speed, beat the butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy (approximately 4-5 minutes). The egg mixture should be added gradually while the mixer speed is reduced to medium. Mix the ingredients for a further 2-3 minutes, scraping down the bowl’s edges as required. Turn the mixer to low speed, add the flour mixture gradually, and combine very briefly. Add the chocolate chunks and stir.
Smooth the top of the batter after dividing it between the two loaf pans. Bake for a further hour and ten to an additional hour and twenty minutes, or until a toothpick inserted close to the middle comes out clean. Cool the cake in the pan for 20 to 30 minutes on a wire rack before removing it to finish cooling.
The combination of the classic pound cake texture and the sweet bursts of chocolate chips make this cake a crowd-pleaser for any occasion.
